Can we top this with the 2010 program?

Autumn has fallen over Holland, out side it rains, inside we are daydreaming and thinking of all the trips we made during this summer. The beautiful weather, walking around on flip-flops, our amazing welcome in Bermuda, the barbecue’s with the Urania, Glocester in the rain, the wind we had between Halifax and Belfast. But also about the friendships we made, the challenges we faced together and how we got out stronger and maybe a little wiser. Was it more challenging to try and get the wind inside the boat in Charleston when it was so hot, or to race away from the wind when it reached Gail force? You where there with us! How about next year? With this email we would like to inform you about what the Tecla is doing next year, and we hope we will see you again, on board! 2010 is going to be another Sail Training year for the Tecla. 4 regatta’s – 6 races – 2 cruises – 9 countries - an ocean full of opportunities! *= youngster price!!!

The Tall Ships Races 2010 and North Sea Tall Ships Regatta

10 july – 10 august and 10 – 18 august

Two North Sea Races!

This year the Tall Ships Races will take us from Antwerpen to Aalborg, to Kristiansand and Hartlepool. Again it promises to be THE race of the year. Already over 40 ships have enlisted! Most ports have a history of being a host to Tall Ship and so it promises to be an amazing event. Get ready for this next challenge. The Tall Ships Race will end in Hartlepool, the North Sea regatta will bring the Tecla home. This race will involve sailing as many miles as possible in a race that will keep you at sea for over 125 hours. A race all about tactics, making the right choices as a team and sailing the ship at the fullest. After the finish the Tall Ships will gather in IJmuiden, the port just before Amsterdam. Special offer Between the Historical Seas regatta and the Tall Ships Race 2010, we will make one epic long trip of 35 days, over 3000 miles. We start of in Lavrion, Greece and end in Antwerpen, Belgium. Special for those who have sailed with the Tecla before, there will be an extra discount of 20%.
